Samuel Marcus was a Class C tech. he had just fallen asleep since the jump from Reach until he was awakened by the beeping of his bedroom terminal.

as he walked torwards the terminal he picked up and examined his picture of his wife. he remebered the last time he saw here. it had been about 3 years since he'd seen her. he continued his way to the terminal and read

he punched in his wedding day and recieved orders from cortana the words where simple but he was stunned

he turned on his com and said:
Hey tom is this who i think it is
Tom: you bet get down here
Down at the cryo two...

Faint whistling could be heard Sam was at a mini theater control and was awakening the cryogenicly frozen spartan while his buddy tom was down on the main floor waiting. after the whistling the cryo tube opened and the spartan woke up from his frozen slumber.

as he woke he could make out where he was in a cryotube being thawed from sleep. as he laid there for a minute a crewman started to speak.
Tom: sorry for the quick thaw master chief things are a bit hectic right now
a man at the cryo theater spoke through the microphone
Sam: good to have you back sir well have your status up.
